10:30 am 4:00 pm
Hewenden Mill
Cullingworth

£65 per person
Includes teas & homemade cake

Book your place via Yoga Earthed here

We've teamed up with Rachel from Earthed Yoga to celebrate the season with a day of yoga and creativity in beautiful wooded valley surroundings.

Half the day will begin with a walking meditation leading into an hour long outdoor Dru yoga class. Yoga beginners more than welcome, come and try out yoga surrounded by trees and sky!

For the other half of the day we'll take inspiration from the beautiful surroundings to do some making. We’ll forage for inspiration in the woodland and respond to it through experimental drawing and printmaking. We’ll be getting out the ink and creating monoprints from natural objects, a great opportunity to play and have fun with printmaking.

A few words from previous participants of Move & Make…

“A Really enjoyable and relaxing day”

"A fab day which included everything that I love, being out of doors and all things crafty”

“Friendly, nourishing both physically and creatively!”

“Spending the day reconnecting with nature was therapy I didn't even know I needed”

Come and join us for a day of relaxation in the woods!
No yoga experience, drawing or printmaking skills necessary

Courses from our print studio in Shipley are currently on hold due to major road excavations right outside our studio door. We’re hoping everything will be fixed soon and we’ll have public access again from August 24

New workshop dates will be announced at that time!

  • With plenty of time for experimentation, lots of examples to look at and the support & guidance of two experienced printmakers you will create a unique handmade decoration for your home or a beautiful gift for family and friends.

In this one-day workshop, the morning will be spent designing and carving your block of lino to create a range of printing blocks. Using specialist cutting tools you’ll cut large and small elements to print multiple times across the fabric, with plenty of time for practice prints and composition planning. No previous drawing or printmaking experience is necessary, and there will be the option to trace designs from our range of inspiration should you choose.

In the afternoon you will learn how to ink up your blocks in various colours and print them onto soft linen fabric using traditional hand printing techniques. You’ll then use simple stitches to construct your banner and add a hanging twine to finish it off.

All the techniques learned in the workshop can be repeated at home, and you’ll take home your original lino blocks to continue printing at home should you wish.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners and no previous experience of printmaking, drawing or sewing is necessary
